Bill Blechta - President / Founder
36 years and counting….
Bill and his father George started “Sun Silk Screen” in the basement of their home in New York in 1976. Shortly thereafter, the doors opened in Sarasota, FL in 1978. Witnessing many wonderful changes in the Graphics Industry, the company transformed to Sun Screenprinting in 1983 and then to Sun Graphic Technologies in 2007. During his 36 years, Bill has been involved in every area of the business, and is very proud of the business he and his team built. The genesis of Sun Graphic Technologies' customer-first philosophy lies deep within its founder and continues to be the driving force in moving the company forward.
Rob Harris - Chief Operating/Marketing Officer
Raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL and a University of Florida graduate, Rob and his wife moved to the Suncoast of Florida in 1991. With an immediate start in the graphics industry, he now has 22 years experience and counting. Rob's experience is very comprehensive, encompassing General Manager, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development Manager roles. Rob's previous production knowledge perfectly compliments his technical sales ability. Understanding the products and production methods ensures he is providing the best solution to his clients. Rob currently holds the position of Business Development Manager where he develops marketing and support tools which help Sun's sales staff obtain new clients and service them better.
Mike Scolaro - Senior Client Representative (Contact Mike)
Mike grew up in Chicago and relocated to the Suncoast in 1980. He has been a part of the Sun Team since 1983 and has worked in a number of different positions including Production Manager, Pressman, and Sales. Mike’s current role as Senior Account Manager keeps him busy doing things he loves; namely, working with our larger clients helping them design, engineer, and implement visual identity campaigns. Mike has a deep well of knowledge which is most powerful when engaged helping a client bring their vision into physical reality.
Lexi Kraft - Client Representative (Contact Lexi)
Born right here on the Suncoast, Alexandria (Lexi) has been employed at Sun Graphic Technologies since August of 2011. Her early experience working in Sun’s Finishing Department gave her a broad knowledge of the inner workings of the many processes Sun Graphic Technologies conducts. Lexi became the Lead Estimator in January of 2012 and the Lead Purchasing Agent in March of that same year. Her broad based exposure to varied functions allowed her to estimate with accuracy, and offer our clients the best, and most cost effective, solution. Lexi was promoted to the Sales Team at the beginning of 2014, now she's putting all that experience to work helping our clients grow their businesses!
Mary Ellen Blechta - Client Representative (Contact Mary Ellen)
Joined the Sun team recently to put her many years of ad agency and newspaper sales background to work for you. She has the knowledge to help you with your printing and graphic needs.
Bret Rohde - Production Manager
A Wisconsin native, Bret and his family recently made the migration to Sarasota to escape the cold and snow of the Midwest. He brings Over 20 years of professional experience in production while managing Team members in a high-end visual market to our facility, and is quickly reorganizing the staff, equipment, and operations to gain an increase in efficiency while maintaining our high quality standards. Bret has a great sense of humor and easy going personality which makes him a natural fit for Sun Graphic Technologies.
John Hogan - Production Specialist
John hails from Lakeland, Florida and joined the Sun Graphic Technologies Team in 2005. With over 32 years of experience in screen / digital printing John is trained and proficient at nearly every single function in our facility. John’s combination of experience and training has positioned him perfectly to help develop and maintain Sun’s Quality Control Standards and Standard Operating Procedures. However, though John enjoys the QC and SOP areas, his heart lies in training others to exacting standards of excellence.
Stacy Parnau - Estimator / Purchasing
When Stacy moved to Sarasota in 2010 she was looking for adventure! She actually chose Sarasota as her destination randomly, from a map! Joining the Sun Graphic Technologies Team in November of 2013, Stacy brings over 20 years of print industry experience in accounting and operations. Her experience with numbers makes her a great fit for the Sun Graphic Technologies Estimating Department. Always helpful, Stacy loves to take care of the clients and vendors both and she is always at the ready!
Kari Haggard - Controller
Kari moved to the Suncoast in 2001 from suburban Chicago and, even after 12 years, she still very much enjoys mentioning beach days to her family when it’s snowing back home. Kari joined the Sun Graphic Technologies Team as Controller in 2010 bringing with her more than 15 years of operations and accounting experience. Kari is extremely detail oriented and, obviously very good with numbers. She keeps Sun running smoothly while managing a truly crazy number of processes and reports.
